Setton Farms Employees Raise Over $71,000 for the American Cancer Society in Relay for Life Event
Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc., the nation’s second largest pistachio grower and processor based in California’s Central Valley, raises over $71,000 for this year’s Relay for Life, the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser dedicated to helping communities combat cancer.
This is the sixth year in a row that Setton Farms has raised money for Relay for Life. Since 2014, the company has contributed over $300,000 to the American Cancer Society through food sales, raffles, and the annual walk event, where teammates take turns walking the path to symbolize the ongoing fight against cancer.
This year, the Setton Farms team, Nuts for a Cure, held 33 fundraisers to raise money and awareness prior to the Relay for Life event. On Saturday, October 5th, team members, made up of employees, came out to walk in support of cancer research, patient support, and cancer prevention education.
“We’re extremely honored to unite as a company and support such an important cause each year to help in the fight against cancer,” said Setton Farms COO Mia Cohen. “Our entire team is very passionate about supporting the American Cancer Society and raising money for an organization that makes such a big impact.”
Setton Farms employees began organizing fundraisers in January, holding several of them each month leading up to the Relay for Life event in October.
